You will be staying in The Marine Hotel is in the heart of Paignton's beautiful resort area on one of the finest level and detached seafront positions in Torbay. The hotel is a traditional seaside hotel which is independently owned, with a homely and relaxed atmosphere. Sit back and relax in one of the comfy chairs situated in the wrap around conservatory which enjoys panoramic views of the Bay.  Enjoy a cup of coffee or indeed your favourite tipple whilst watching the world pass by.
    
During your stay you can enjoy a 3-course dinner with tea/coffee each evening. A river cruise and Steam train ride, plus services of a local guide for a day.
   
Day 1: 
Travel to Paignton with a stop en-route in Bath to explore the city’s Roman and Georgian treasures.
 
Day 2:  
Travel to either Topsham or Exmouth to enjoy a delightful cruise on the River Exe, followed by a scenic rail journey.
Once a thriving port, Topsham is now a pretty maritime town with a mix of fascinating architecture, from 17th and 18th century Dutch style merchants’ houses to antique tea shops and pubs. (final details are dependent on tide times).
 
Exmouth is a lively town with 2 miles of golden sands where the Exe meets the sea. 
 
Day 3:  
A local guide will join today for a full day excursion through the beautiful scenery of Dartmoor. Including the ancient market town of Tavistock, an opportunity to view Buckfast Abbey (cost not included) and hopefully views of the lovely wild ponies which Dartmoor is famous.
 
Day 4:  
A Day at leisure. Enjoy the full day in Paignton. Or join us, to discover Torquay's charm where pristine beaches meet Victorian elegance, offering a perfect blend of coastal beauty, cultural richness, and delightful seaside experiences.
 
Day 5: 
Enjoy one last full English as you embark on Martins mystery tour home to Norfolk!
